Scott Self has a 50 ton license as a Captain with auxilary sailing endorsement and towing endorsement.

Scott is also a certified scuba diver, a former firefighter, and trained in CPR, WSI lifeguard, and first aid.

Scott is an expert in offshore sailing and navigation.

He has twice sailed across the atlantic as skipper and navigator using only celestial navigation on 40 foot sailboats.

He has raced and won some of the toughest races in world including the Fastnet Race twice, Antigue Race Week, Harvest Moon Regatta, Chicago Mac Race, Key West Race Week, and most recently the 2005 Transpac Race, from Los Angles to Hawaii.
