Scott Self has a 50 ton license as a Captain with auxilary sailing endorsement and towing endorsement.

Scott is also a certified scuba diver, a former firefighter, and trained in CPR, WSI lifeguard, and First Aid.

Scott is an expert in offshore sailing and navigation.

He has twice sailed across the Atlantic Ocean as skipper and navigator on 44 foot sailboats using only celestial navigation.

He has raced and won some of the toughest races in world including the Fastnet Race twice, Antigua Race Week, Harvest Moon Regatta, Chicago Mac Race, Key West Race Week, Transpac Race (from Los Angeles to Hawaii), and most recently he won the 2009 St. Petersburg National Offshore One Design Championship.
